Twists and turns

I haven't had a lot of time to absorb what's happened this week.

My husband husband was ill last November and nearly fired from his job. I kept saying if we can just get to June he could retire. Well he went back to work and things seemed to be going a long fine. Wednesday morning (6 a.m.) I was awakened by my husband. I first thought I slept through my alarm but then Tom said he was sent home as he was supposedly sleeping. There was a raid on the place. It's an automatic discharge sleeping on the job. We went to Social Security and Tom applied and officially retired. Both our children were happy for their dad. I'll have to get used to him all the time.

I've spent three days making phone calls to get things rolling insurance wise. I've been able to get the ball rolling for me and hopefully will find an affordable coverage for Tom.

Now that Tom is home he has decided we (me) should clean out the TV room. That's where I have the majority of my yarn. I spent a couple hours yesterday going through two bags of yarn and deciding what I want to give away for charity projects. Today I sorted out some more in the room. I think it will take a week to finally straighten out that room. Then I'll have to go through my bins in my mother's bedroom so she can have more room. I tried to tell Tom that I'm not the only one with a big stash of yarn.

I'm going to have to find more places to knit. I know I can't be home all the time.

I have five projects going right now and I found some UFO's I can't remember starting. LOL

I'm sorry to hear of your husband losing his job. I hope this will turn out for the best in the end. I'm knitting a small shawl using three different colors of Koigu. So far, it's quite pretty.
