Wal-Mart Hear me Roar!

I've been boycotting Wal-Mart for years. Well that isn't going to change in the near future.

My favorite show "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" has the story of a former employee of Wal-Mart being sued for $470,000. The woman was in a car accident which has left her in a nursing home. Her husband works two jobs and her son was killed in Iraq. Because this woman's family won a suit from a trucking company for $407,000 for her care Wal-mart is suing for $470,000 because Wal-Mart's policy is that if you are awarded monies it has to go to them to recoup the money they supposely spent on her care.

Come on have a heart Wal-Mart. You are suppose to be a family values store. What you are is money hungry and don't give a crap about the family just the bottom dollar. You go into small towns and run small businesses out. You fire people without cause and you don't have full time employees when part time is better so you don't have to pay for health care.

My Little Model

Sidney is modeling the sweater I recently made for her. She couldn't stop at one photo. She had to pose several times. She even told me she liked the sweater.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I celebrated on Saturday. My son-in-law organized the St. Patrick's Day parade. I met my daughter and granddaughter at The Ivanhoe for a tradional Irish breakfast.

There were a lot of men in kilts including my son-in-law. He carried my granddaughter in the parade. Nora was in a kilt too.

I made my daughter a pair of mittens with shamrocks on them.

In all it was a nice day but it was cold.
