Gotta Get a Going!

The above photo is my granddaughter showing off the sweater her GreatGrandma Jay made for her fourth birthday. Sidney opened the package and said it was another sweater. At least she didn't throw it.

Well I've been knitting and reading. I made the towel in the new Mason Dixon book. It's a bit time consuming but will make get gifts for a friend of mine at Christmas. We always have those hard to buy for people. He liked the hanging kitchen towels I made him from the ball band pattern from the first Mason Dixon book.

I've got two scarves on needles but it's been warm and the wool is very hot to work with. It's suppose to be cooler tomorrow.

I enjoyed reading the latest Maggie Sefton book on the porch this afternoon. I used to sit on the porch all the time in the summer until about three years ago when I no longer fit in the lawn chairs. Now I have no problem. I'm holding my own. I'm not gaining and I'm slowly, very slowly loosing weight. I feel a shift in my body. I'm walking and increasing my walk. I was told the other day that I was a hero to a find of mine. What a nice compliment. No gym for me. Just regular exercising and not starving myself.

I have two more Christmas gifts bought so I feel I'm getting there. I know it seems early but the time can creep up on you.

My dear granddaughter was over the other day and remarked on my Halloween bears on top of the bookshelf. She asked if Halloween was coming up soon. She's still deciding what costume she wants to wear. She has time.

Enjoy the weather while you can.
