At about 4 a.m. the phone rang. My husband answered some questions and got up and looked out the window. My car was gone. I went into the kitchen and didn't see my purse. In fact, I don't remember seeing my purse at all. We had gone to McDonald's yesterday morning for breakfast. Afterwards I had Tom drop me off a few blocks from our house so I could walk home. I never thought about my purse. Tom was suppose to bring it into the house.
Whoever took our car was driving fast or something and was pulled over. He was caught. We drove over to where the car was and I was given my car key. I related that the door on our truck was ajar and that I thought my purse was taken. My husband has a habit of not locking the doors. When I searched the car I found a ball of cotton yarn I thought I had lost. The policemen followed my husband home and looked around our house outside.
About 9:30-10:00 the phone rang and it was some one from the police department. They had a call that some one saw my purse. I asked when I would get the purse back and I was told a policeman was on his way over. It had rained and my purse had been dumped. I lost my keys, cellphone and George Webb coupons. My license and bankcard were there. The policeman said the purse was dumped. I was so bummed that I went back to bed. Tom woke me up at noon.
On another subject - I'm not happy about Brett Favre's return. Last year he had fans wondering if he was coming back. This year he retires and then decides he doesn't want to be retired. It's bad when the national media is reporting this return.
I'm going to do some knitting tonight.
