Where Does the Time Go?????

Don't these mittens remind you of layed jello, a summertime treat.

Today I sit here with a sore bum. Thursday night my hubby was babysitting at our son's home. Hubby called me and said I should come over as the swimming pool was up. It doesn't take much to get me to go swimming as it's one of my favorite things. First off, the grandkids wanted to know what I had on. They've never seen their grandma in a swimsuit. Next came climbing into the pool. There has to be a better way. With hubby holding the ladder I made it up the skinny ladder and down into the pool. I had a lot of fun swimming with Sidney and Mitch. Sidney kept holding my hand. I think she thought I wouldn't stay up otherwise. Finally when it was time to get out of the pool it became more of a challenge. I got up to the top and turned around to come out. I've heard two stories of what happened. My hubby said I missed a step and Mitch says the ladder tipped. All I know is I lost my balance and fell backwards just missing the cement slabs. I scraped my elbow on a slab and came down on my back. I laid on the ground a minute or too to catch my breath sort of speak. The good news is that if I hadn't lost 88 lbs. over the past year I never would have thought about going in the pool. Now I'm trying to think of easier ways to get in and out of the pool so I can go swimming again with little injury.

On the knitting front I'm making a lot of dishcloths. Some one buy them please so I can go to Waycross in September. Pretty please!

I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July. We always go to the Racine Parade. I don't like going but it's one of the few things my husband likes me to go to. Since we can sit downtown in front of the Ivanhoe it's not a bad thing. I always walk in the bar and tell the bartender I'm Sara's mom. It's a perk!
