Is it Raining?

Well just when you think things are going okay.

I started with draining from my sinuses into my chest Sunday. I thought maybe I can nip it in the bud. It was not to be.

Monday my husband and I went out for breakfast. When we got home I reminded my mother that my sister was coming over to take her to the doctor. Mother wanted to go to the post office and then grocery shopping. About 30 minutes later my husband came in the door with the package my mother was going to send.

Mother fell in the post office and none of the tellers saw her but three ladies did and helped her up while men came in and walked around her. When my husband saw these ladies helping my mother he got out of the truck to help. She said take me to the hospital. He was on his way. I called my sister as she was coming over early to see the new baby. Then I cancelled the doctor appointment.

When my sister and I got to the hospital my husband said it was bad. Mother had a fractured hip and needed surgery. My sister and I stayed at the hospital until mother was out of surgery. Mother told us to go home before she went into surgery but we wouldn't do that.

Yesterday I woke up and could hardly talk. Tom didn't want me to got out as it had snowed as I wasn't well. I called the doctor but didn't get a call back until 4 p.m. and telling me I had to go to the walk-in clinic. My husband dropped me off and went over to the hospital to see my mother. In the mean time my sister called and said he was down with the flu.

I have a touch of pnuemonia so I slept most of the day. My husband made supper and then took some things to my mother. He said she wasn't in a good mood. My mother has been on vicodin for years for her back and she complained more about her back then she did her hip. Then she refused to eat and had a melt down. My sister had visited her earlier and called me with a list of items she wanted. My mother will have to go to a nursing home so she didn't take that well either. It's only until she heals.

Between all this my nephew-in-law was sent home from Iraq because his dad died.

Knitting wise I'm trying a Clapotis with sock yarn. I wanted ocean colors but the company I ordered from called me and said they were out and would I choose another color. The new color is more of an angry ocean.
